Launching the "Report it...Don't Share" campaign to promote child protection across the digital world

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Child Protection Center and the Digital Quality of Life Council, in partnership with the International Technology Foundation "META", launched a campaign "Report it... and don't share it" to promote child protection across the digital world.
On the sidelines of the International Children’s Day activities inside Fazaa headquarters in Expo, to educate the community and enhance the dignity of children through the digital world and raise awareness of the negative effects of sharing photos and videos of children subjected to sexual exploitation and how to report such content under the slogan “Report it and do not share it” in the presence of Major General Dr. Jassim Al Marzouqi The Commander-General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, representatives of all partners and community figures.,
The director of the Ministry of Interior Child Protection Center said, "Regardless of the reason, sharing pictures and videos of sexual exploitation of children on the Internet leads to devastating effects on the child who appears in this article and is considered, according to the law, an explicit violation that exposes the person to legal accountability and penalties, and we are keen to work with all partners, including META, to gain a better understanding of the most effective way to prevent the sharing of this material and exposing the child to further exploitation and to educate the public on how to report this crime.”
