Lecture on the Child Protection Program in sports clubs with the UAE Professional League

The UAE Professional League, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior’s Center for Child Protection, organized a lecture for child protection officials in professional clubs on the child protection program and reporting procedures today, Wednesday, at the League’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The lecture opened with a welcome speech delivered by Waleed Ibrahim Al Hosani, Executive Director of the UAE Professional League, in which he emphasized the importance of applying the necessary strategic measures to achieve the maximum protection for children, based on the importance that the wise government gives to children, and in line with the laws it enacted to protect and motivate them to creativity and excellence, and in accordance with the commitment of the League Protecting children's players, placing their safety and well-being at the highest priority, and believing that every player has the right to enjoy playing football in a safe and appropriate environment.
The Deputy Director of the Ministry of Interior Center for Child Protection reviewed the Child Rights Law (Wadimah), the role of the child protection specialist, and the procedures for dealing and reporting.
It is worth noting that the UAE Professional League was one of the first associations in the Asian continent to implement the child protection program, through coordination with the Child Protection Unit at the Ministry of Interior, and working closely with child protection specialists, and with both the AFC and FIFA.
The lecture was attended by the Head of the Prevention, Awareness and Guidance Section at the Ministry of Interior's Center for Child Protection, and representatives of professional clubs.
