The Child Protection Center at the Ministry of Interior received the 2021 Arab Family-Friendly Institutions Award from the Department of Women, Family and Childhood Affairs in the Social Affairs Sector of the Arab League. The award is granted to institutions that contributed to protecting families during the Covid-19 pandemic and launched pioneering initiatives and projects in this field. The award also recognizes the center’s efforts in enhancing child protection and promoting healthy and safe communities and cohesive families.
Lt. Col. Abdul Rahman Al Tamimi received the award from Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League, Dr. Hassan Al Bilawi, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, along with a number of officials. The award was handed in a ceremony held at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.
