The Ministry of Interior Child Protection Centre organizes a training workshop for employees of the Child Protection Unit at the Emirates School Education Foundation

The Ministry of Interior Child Protection Centre organized a training workshop for employees of the Child Protection Unit at the Emirates School Education Foundation at the Teacher Training Center in the Emirate of Ajman, as part of the training courses and workshops provided by the Ministry of Interior Center for Child Protection to spread the culture of children’s rights and provide training for human cadres specialized in the field of child protection.

The workshop included an introductory lecture on the “Wadeema” Children’s Rights Law, and the proper dealing with different behaviors of children.

The workshop also included education on ways to prevent and protect children, how to deal with online abuse, and prevent exploitation of children.

The role and responsibilities of the Child Protection Unit and how to deal with children’s reports were introduced, and they were classified according to the degree of the case and the procedures for dealing with them, or they were transferred to the security authorities represented by the Ministry of Interior’s Center for Child Protection, while maintaining complete confidentiality for reporting cases.

The center gave a presentation on the national strategy for child protection and the role of the institutions concerned with its approval in activating their pioneering role in preventing abuse in its various forms and ensuring children’s rights in all fields according to the themes of the national strategy.

The center presented an introductory presentation on the smart communication system of the Ministry of Interior’s Center for Child Protection, which includes the hotline (116111), the Hemayati application for smart devices, and electronic reporting via the center’s website.

During the workshop, the Center emphasized the role of the school, the parents, and the students themselves in confronting these challenges, and confronting all types of child abuse, including physical and verbal assault or bullying, as well as electronic bullying, exploitation, or luring via the Internet.
