The Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Center at the International Affairs Bureau, in cooperation with the Security Media Department at the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior, launched a campaign entitled “Together towards a Safe Summer” starting in July in order to promote awareness of safe practices and the requirements to be followed in order for children to practice their hobbies and develop their talents in Summer in a safe environment in which they enjoy safety and protection.

The events include a series of awareness-raising activities, including virtual and in-person lectures, and workshops, broadcasting awareness messages in cooperation with the Ministry’s Security Media Department through the media and the Ministry of Interior’s accounts on social media platforms, and press and radio interventions to educate the community about potential dangers, including children drowning in swimming pools and the danger of suffocation in vehicles and otherwise.

A number of campaign activities are being held in cooperation with strategic partners and the Permanent Awareness Committee in the field of child protection in one of the malls in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a number of children, to include various activities and raise awareness and education lectures.

The Ministry of Interior, through its various departments, is keen to raise awareness in support of safe practices that would enhance the protection of society, and to introduce the importance of adhering to the requirements of prevention and safety in general, which are announced by the relevant concerned authorities in order to enhance security and safety.
